SR ECO Consultants Inc.

Trained in geology, geophysics and journalism, Susan R. Eaton possesses a strong business and finance background that was honed while working as a Vice-President of Exploration in two small, publicly traded oil and gas companies and one privately held junior energy firm. Susan is a project manager and oil and gas asset evaluator with twenty-eight years of progressive and successful experience in the oil and gas industry. Her technical and business acumen spans Western Canada, the Canadian Frontiers (East Coast Offshore and the Northwest Territories), the North Sea, Eastern Europe, Russia and Central and South America.  She speaks and writes French, Spanish and German.

Susan’s area of technical expertise is in pulling together and managing the entire exploration process – from identifying play types to land acquisition and deal negotiations, geological and geophysical work-ups including basin analysis, Net Present Value (NPV) evaluation of acquisition and development opportunities (both of properties and integrated companies), the field acquisition of seismic data and the drilling of wells.

In 1999, Susan established SR ECO Consultants Inc. Since then, she has consulted to numerous Canadian and American oil and gas companies on corporate due diligence and financial, strategic, media and technical evaluations. She makes presentations, on behalf of clients, to petroleum industry analysts, investment bankers, stockbrokers and potential joint venture partners. A member of the Council of Energy Advisors, based out of New York, she advises the international investment community on technical and financial issues pertinent to the Canadian oil and gas sector, including the Alberta Oil Sands.

As the Canadian correspondent for Explorer Magazine – published in Tulsa by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists – Susan reports on Canadian exploration trends and discoveries. She also writes on emerging technologies in the oil and gas sector, contributing frequently to New Technology Magazine and Alberta Oil Magazine, two Calgary publications. As a freelance contributor to Business Edge, a Calgary-based weekly news magazine, she reports on business issues in Western Canada. A former on-camera reporter with CBC-TV, Susan also reports on the environment, renewable energy and ecotourism.
